Doak Dermatologics (Fairfield, NJ), asubsidiary of Bradley Pharmaceuticals Inc,has announced the introduction of a newprescription-only topical acne treatment,Zoderm. Zoderm contains benzoyl peroxidein a special moisturizing base of 10%urea. The product is available in gel,cream, and cleanser form in 4.5% (for mildacne) and 8.5% (for moderate-to-severeacne) strengths of benzoyl peroxide. TheZoderm family of treatments represents aninnovative departure from traditional benzoylperoxide acne therapies, resulting inexcellent tolerability, even in patients withsensitive skin.
