Social media and networking platforms offer pharmacies the opportunity to increase their visibility and connection with patients, but they also require dedicated effort in order to pay off.

Online social media and social networking platforms are growing ever more popular with the public, and offer pharmacists an opportunity to increase their visibility and connection with patients. They can also help pharmacists save time and money. However, pharmacies that want to take the plunge and engage the public through social media need to be prepared to dedicate the resources necessary to establish and maintain their presence.
