The Pharmacy Times Evolution

Article

Let me introduce you to the new Pharmacy Times! As the industry’s leading publication, Pharmacy Times has a responsibility to stay ahead of emerging issues and trends for our readers, and beginning with this issue, you will find several new and exciting features.

The new Pharmacy Times includes an updated look and feel as well as a renewed commitment to explore the future of our industry through many editorial enhancements. To start, you’ll notice an updated cover design and improved internal layout of our sections. In addition to bringing a more modern feel to our publication, we are now able to deliver more information—including topic features, important dates, and partner spotlights—right on our cover. This addition serves as a faster, more robust introduction to an issue for busy pharmacists.

Over the next several editions of Pharmacy Times, we are launching a series of new editorial features. For example, in this issue you find a new section called “Frontiers in Pharmacy”—a cutting-edge examination of education and technology trends and a look at how new pharmacists are preparing for the changing environment and practice models. Some of the other new editorial sections to keep an eye out for include:

  • Medication Therapy Management Today—Exploring patient care techniques that have the most impact and will help you expand your business.
  • Health App Wrap—Tapping into the digital world, we showcase some not-to-miss mobile device applications for you and your patients.
  • Interactives—Here’s a unique opportunity to test your skills and practice them on situations that arise every day in your pharmacy.

At Pharmacy Times, we remain focused on providing you, the pharmacist, with all of the information you need to excel, and our redesign is simply an evolution on content delivery. With that in mind, we are also building upon our website and other digital information gateways. Shortly, you will find these new editorial features on our mobile platforms and online resources like our free iPad app.

In the words of one of health care’s most influential minds, Ben Franklin, “Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.” We echo and hope to embody that sentiment. Pharmacy Times is proud to be your go-to information resource, and we are dedicated to continuing to bring you everything you have come to expect from Pharmacy Times—and more!

Thank you for reading!
