Kaelen C. Dunican, PharmD, MA: So I think that there’s lots of opportunities for pharmacy schools to collaborate with many different healthcare professionals—other, you know, schools of optometry, schools of dental hygiene and that type of thing. Lots of opportunities to do it. I think sometimes there needs to be some creativity and how to work with other schools, being that they may not be in the same proximity, they may be at, you know, some distance between them. But there’s definitely, with technology these days you could even do sort of a Skype session with a group of pharmacy students and a group of optometrists, and just come together and have discussions about things that they’ve seen in practice and, you know, how to resolve patient’s complaints about their dry eye or something simple.
