The suspect also wore an all-black outfit of a leather jacket, shirt, jeans, and gloves, The Orange County Register reported.
The robbery occurred at a Walgreens in Placentia, California, around 7:45 p.m. on July 29, 2015, according to police. No injuries were reported.
“He just pointed a sword at the clerk and demanded cash,” Lt. Eric Point, of the Placentia Police Department, told The Orange County Register.
Police said the suspect left the pharmacy with $200 and ran off on foot. When officers searched the area, they found the mask that the man reportedly left behind.
“It is unknown if the suspect is a ninja,” The Orange County Register reported.
