Pharmacist and Physician Collaboration Gives Physicians More Freedom

In this video. Sarah Hurty, MD, owner of Take Back your Practice, explains why collaboration between pharmacists and physicians can be so beneficial, and how it gives physicians more freedom in their practice.

Transcript

Sarah Hurty, MD: I help pharmacists to collaborate more deeply with, or manage, or own physician practices, and I do that because I started out wanting to help physicians become more free as independent physicians and to succeed in independent practice. My definition, because I'm entrepreneurial, of freedom incorporated a whole lot more skills than most physicians want to actually manifest for themselves. What they want, is they want an excellent team and they don't even necessarily want to own the practice, they just want to be able to practice in an environment that is respectful, and allows them to practice medicine the way they would like to, and survive and thrive.
