Storing and Ordering Victoza®

When is a Victoza® 2-pack dispensed versus a 3-pack?

Each Victoza® pen contains 3 mL (6 mg/mL) of Victoza®, or 18 mg. That is equivalent to 15 doses of 1.2 mg (18 mg/1.2 mg) or 10 doses of 1.8 mg (18 mg/1.8 mg) per pen. Therefore, a prescription for Victoza® 1.2 mg requires dispensing the 2-pen pack (6 mL) for a 30-day supply, and a prescription for Victoza® 1.8 mg requires dispensing the 3-pen pack (9 mL) for a 30-day supply.
