More Money, More Stress in Pharmacy

I don't know whether to be pleased or disappointed with the results of Drug Topics' 2015 Salary Survey.

I don’t know whether to be pleased or disappointed with the results of Drug Topics’ 2015 Salary Survey. More money is good, but more stress is not, and I don’t think the 2 have to go hand-in-hand.

Although there are many reasons why a pharmacist may experience more job-related stress, seeing nearly 70% of pharmacists report that they feel more stressed can’t be good. However, more than 70% said they are satisfied with their job, and that is good.

What I liked most about this survey is that most pharmacists still have a job that they enjoy and are making decent money doing it. The fact that some respondents recognized the current situation will push employers to look for ways to improve efficiency should also be good for pharmacy’s future.

Overall, I was pleased by these survey results. Were you?
