The American Pharmacists Association (APhA), founded in 1852, was originally known as the American Pharmaceutical Association. It’s also the first national professional society of pharmacists. Currently, APhA is the largest association of pharmacists in the US with over 60,000 practicing pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, student pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other individuals interested in advancing the profession.
