The APhA annual meeting is about to kick off, and we will be there all weekend covering it live.
The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) will kick off the 2018 Annual Meeting & Exposition (APhA2018) in Nashville, Tennessee, this weekend, March 15 to 19, 2018. and Pharmacy Times will cover it live.
Check back here all weekend for the latest clinical data from the meeting. Sessions will cover everything from diabetes to overdose prevention, and more. Pharmacy Times' coverage plan includes topics, such as electronic record exchanges, prescription drug pricing, and immunization.
In addition, Pharmacy Times Continuing Education will offer 2 courses -- 1 on Saturday, March 17, on Optimized Care of Patients with COPD and 1 on Sunday, March 18, on Clinical Advances in Treating Psoriatic Disease.
And if you are one of the many pharmacists on site at the meeting, be sure to stop by the 9th Annual Blood Drive and Bone Marrow Registry. The APhA is proud to partner with Be The Match Registry, which offers participants the unique opportunity to give a life-saving bone marrow transplant to someone in need. Thousands of patients with leukemia and other life-threatening diseases depend on Be The Match, the largest and most diverse registry in the world, to find a life-saving donor. For 70% of these patients who don't have a matching donor in their family, finding an unrelated match on the registry is their only chance at a life-saving cure.
The Blood Drive and Bone Marrow Registry is geared toward annual meeting attendees but is also open to the public. Please consider donating and giving the gift of life.
