Alternative Paths of Employment for Pharmacy Graduates

Sharon Park, PharmD, MEd, BCPS, , associate professor and assistant dean for academic affairs at the Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Pharmacy, discusses career options for pharmacy students outside of the traditional roles of a pharmacist.

Pharmacy Times interviewed Sharon Park, PharmD, MEd, BCPS on the subject of the AACP session “Will My Students Have a Job After Graduation? Providing 'Outside the Box' Workforce Solutions,” for which she was a panelist.

In this discussion, Park reviews how skills learned in pharmacy school can translate to positions outside of the traditional pharmacy sphere, the state of the pharmaceutical job market, and how graduates can augment their skill set to help them pursue a career in a different field.
