Angeles Dorame, CPhT, of ScottsdaleProfessional Pharmacy Ltd in Scottsdale,Arizona, had a difficult time trying to determinewhat medication was being ordered for thepatient. After several attempts at trying totranslate this illegible handwriting, Doramecalled the prescribing physician?s office forclarification. Do you know what drug thephysician ordered?

Registered Pharmacist Amy Malmen, of TheMedicine Shoppe in Mattoon, Illinois, had a prettygood idea what drug the patient was prescribed.Still, she called the physician?s office for confirmation.The physician?s nurse told her she had thecorrect drug. Can you figure out this script?

ANSWERS

Rx 1: Subutex 8 mg, 1 tablet daily as needed.

Rx 2: Verapamil SR 240 mg, #30, take 1 tablet daily.
