Directions in Pharmacy® Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Spring Conference Series

Article

The nationwide continuing education conference series will share the latest clinical data while exploring best practices and management strategies for patients with chronic illnesses.

Pharmacy Times Continuing Education™ (PTCE), a leader in continuing education for retail, health-system, oncology, managed care, and specialty pharmacists, announces the tenth annual Directions in Pharmacy® continuing education spring conference series, which will make stops in 4 cities across the United States this spring.

“For 10 years, we have offered pharmacists across the country an educational program that enables them to come together to network, learn and discuss the application of their learning with colleagues and peers,” said Jim Palatine, MBA, RPh, president of PTCE, in a prepared statement. “This year’s conference series is a major milestone for PTCE. We wouldn’t be able to improve the care of patients without the support of our expert faculty members, and the participants who attend our regional meetings every year.”

The conference dates and locations are:

  • April 4: Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort, California
  • April 25: Marriott Chicago O’Hare, Illinois
  • May 16: Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Lake Buena Vista, Florida
  • June 13: Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, New Jersey

Directions in Pharmacy® is a full-day, regional conference for community and health-system pharmacists, offering the opportunity for these professionals to participate in interactive sessions that provide the most current and relevant information for them to implement in their practices. Sessions focus on disease-state management, clinical data, and treatment guidelines as well as best practices for optimal care for patients in a wide variety of therapeutic areas. Expert faculty speakers will address topics including the treatment and management of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, respiratory conditions, infectious diseases, and immunization recommendations.

Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, each meeting provides attendees with the opportunity to earn up to 6.0 continuing education credits, including law, patient safety and immunization credit.
