Today’s pharmacy hero is Diane Berkley, CPhT. In addition to working full time at a local hospital during the day, Berkley also works part-time at a community pharmacy.

“She’s a wonderful person with a caring and loving heart,” said My Dung Vo, PharmD.

Berkley decided to do something to help during the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, so in her rare free time, Berkley has been making masks and distributing them to nurses, physicians, pharmacists, medical staff, and patients for free.

As another example of Berkley’s dedication to her patients, Vo said that when a patient is struggling to afford their medications, Berkley works with them to find coupons and savings.

“Diane is all about patient care and patient safety,” Vo said. “She’s a very hard worker, who does not give up easily until she achieves the best possible outcome for her patients.”
