Rite Aid Pharmacy Employees Arrested for Stealing Painkillers

Jack Edward Funderburk, who was employed at the store at the time, was seen on video taking pills several times, according to a Moultrie police investigator. The 69-year-old pharmacist was charged with unauthorized distribution.
He allegedly stole acetaminophen/codeine No. 3 from the store in October 2014, according to the Moultrie Observer.
Meanwhile, Carole Nesmith Reynolds, 54, said she needed to steal pills from the pharmacy because she suffered from migraines, and her doctor would not provide her with prescription medication, according to the Moultrie Observer. She was charged with the sale/distribution/possession of dangerous drugs.
Police say Reynolds, a pharmacy tech, pilfered 1889 butalbital/Acetaminophen pills over a 9- or 10-month period.
The 2 pharmacy employees were arrested on November 18, 2014.
