What is Covered in the 2022 SDOH Resource Guide

Pharmacy Times spoke with Richard Schmitz, PQA Chief Engagement Officer, about what this year's resource guide for social determinants of health covers.

Schmitz: Well the guide profiles real world SDOH services that are promising for improving medication use quality, safety, adherence, access. And it focuses on services that involve pharmacies or pharmacists. And the areas that it covers are things like cost and medications, screening for unmet needs, cultural literacy barriers. The guide also touches on loneliness, transportation issues, food security, all the things that can stand between patients and good health outcomes.
