Jessica Langley, Executive Director of Education and Advocacy, National Healthcareer Association (NHA) discusses why pharmacies should be investing in their pharmacy technicians.

Jessica Langley: The pharmacy industry is experiencing high growth, yet technician turnover continues to be a challenge. When supported with high-quality training, technicians are given the knowledge and skills needed to do the job confidently, leading them to choose the profession as a career. Investing in your technicians is a must in order to meet the needs of patients, improve pharmacy operations and deliver quality care. The industry must advocate for pharmacy technicians, and pharmacists must take action to provide them with opportunities to grow. But where can you start? Start with training and certification. Your technicians will thank you!
