Pet Peeves (September 2016)
Read about inconsiderate shoppers, impatient patients, and other pet peeves.
INCONSIDERATE SHOPPERS. When patients have an entire shopping cart of items when picking up their prescription. Talk about insensitive!
PATIENTS WHO ASSUME WE DON’T SLEEP. When a patient puts in a refill after closing and expects it to be ready immediately after opening in the morning.
MISUNDERSTANDING AUTHORIZATION. When a patient says, “The doctor wrote the prescription. Isn’t that authorization?”
BUDGET BUMMERS. Having to cut technician hours and being afraid my company will close the pharmacy because third parties are not reimbursing enough to cover the costs of the medications we are dispensing.
What’s bothering you? Bossy patients, abandoned prescriptions, drive-thrus? Pharmacy Times wants to know. Send your pet peeves to PetPeeves@pharmacytimes.com. We’ll add them to our ongoing published list. Share your Pet Peeves with Pharmacy Times today!
