NCPA Announces Speakers for Upcoming Virtual Convention

The National Community Pharmacists Association's annual convention is scheduled to take place virtually October 18-19, 2020.

The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) has announced several speakers for its upcoming 2020 annual convention, scheduled to take place virtually October 18 and 19.

According to NCPA, speakers will include Admiral Brett Giroir, assistant secretary for health at the US Department of Health and Human Services, and the administration’s leading coronavirus testing official; US Surgeon General Vice Admiral Jerome M. Adams, MD, MPH; Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, who is involved in the US Supreme Court case Rutledge v. PCMA; and Miss America 2020 Camille Schrier, a PharmD candidate and prescription safety advocate. NCPA CEO B. Douglas Hoey, RPh, MBA, will also speak at the convention.

“This will be the most convenient and affordable NCPA Annual Convention we’ve ever had, showcasing the quality education sessions, 1-stop exhibition, and top-notch programs and speakers our meetings are known to feature,” said NCPA President Brian Caswell, in a preparstatement. “The premier event for independent pharmacy is right around the corner, and with it being virtual this year, there’s no reason to miss it.”
