How Can the CSP Strengthen the Specialty Pharmacy Industry?

Brandon Newman, PharmD, CSP, Program Director, Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy, speaks to the benefits of becoming a certified specialty pharmacist.

Newman: What’s been lacking in the specialty pharmacy industry is a validated way to prove your knowledge as specialty pharmacist. So, we have board certification in other areas, but specialty was lacking, so I think that as rapidly growing as specialty pharmacy is, it was a good time to make that credential and certification happen.
