Stacy Miller, senior content management consultant for Wolters Kluwer Health, discusses how mental health in the United States could be improved by stronger connections between prescribers and pharmacists.

In a Pharmacy Times® interview, Stacy Miller, senior content management consultant for Wolters Kluwer Health, discussed how mental health in the United States could be improved by stronger connections between prescribers and pharmacists. This topic specifically comes to the forefront following the announcement from the French government that it will begin funding mental health treatment in the country in order to meet the increased need for mental health care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She mentioned how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the development of mental health conditions in the US, how a stronger connection between prescribers and pharmacists help address this rise in mental health treatment needs, and other ways outside of this connection between prescriber and pharmacist that could help the US health care system better meet this demand.
