Leaflets Address Patient and Medication Concerns
A leading provider of print and computer-based medical information, Lexi-Comp Inc recently added Lexi-PALS and Pedi-PALS patient advisory leaflets to its personal digital assistant (PDA) software offering. Lexi-Comp offers the leaflets in this format so health care professionals can immediately access patient concerns and important medication recommendations right from their PDAs.
Lexi-PALS (for adult patients) and Pedi-PALS (for pediatric patients) provide precautionary information and address several common patient questions. Lexi-PALS also include access to >100 advisory leaflets for natural products. Furthermore, Pedi-PALS provides caregivers with instructions for administering medications. Lexi-PALS and Pedi-PALS patient advisory leaflets on PDAs are available as either a free addition to Lexi- Comp's Lexi-Complete PDA package or an individual subscription.
"Physicians, nurses, and pharmacists can answer patient questions quickly and accurately by accessing Lexi-PALS and Pedi-PALS right from their handheld computers," said Robert Kerscher, president and chief executive officer of the Ohiobased Lexi-Comp. "This immediate response enhances patient comfort and increases trust in caregivers. The leaflets also provide medication compliance and safety information for health care facilities."
