Educational Objectives:

After completing this continuing edu-cation program, the participant will be able to:

  • Explain the epidemiology and pathophysiology of epilepsy and its associated medical and psychological burdens.
  • State and differentiate currently available treatments used in the management of epilepsy.
  • Identify and address therapeutic challenges in currently used treatment strategies for epilepsy.
  • Discuss the pharmacist’s role in optimizing patient outcomes in the management of epilepsy.
