Girish Dighe, PharmD, MS, explains why it is important to understand more than just the revenue integrity piece of the puzzle. This video was filmed at the ASHP (American Society of Health-System Pharmacists) 54th Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Girish Dighe, PharmD, MS: Cross-functional collaboration is very important in revenue integrity. A lot of times, we have siloed decision-making across a hospital and a health system, so one department’s change leads to another department’s issue. So it’s very important that we have all teams coming together through revenue integrity, to make sure we connect the clinical, the operational, and the financial impact on what decisions are being made, and how they actually impact the overall department and then health system.
