Today, we’re celebrating the work of Shannon Burns, CPhT, the front clerk at The Drug Store in Coffeeville, Mississippi. Burns greets patients, takes their bottles and prescriptions for refill, and also takes the filled prescriptions to patients in their cars if they cannot come in the store.

The Drug Store cares for many low-income patients with various chronic illnesses, and Burns operates as the pharmacy’s outreach to ensure that those patients are served and cared for appropriately.

Pharmacy Times is celebrating American Pharmacists Month by honoring amazing pharmacists. Use the hashtag #ThankAPharmacist on social media to show us who you’re celebrating!
