  • Eczema: itchy and red skin

Explanation:

  • Atopic dermatitis (eczema) is a condition that makes your skin red and itchy.
  • It is common in children but can occur at any age.
  • When chronic, it tends to flare up periodically.
  • Symptoms include dry skin, itching, red to brownish patches especially on the hands, feet, ankles, wrist, chest, elbows, face, and scalp.
  • Treatment includes creams for itching, calcineurin inhibitors such as Protopic and Elidel, as well as biologics such as Dupixent (dupilumab).
