Pet Peeves (March 2016)
Read about bloody prescriptions, impatient patients, and other pet peeves.
A patient handed me a prescription with blood all over it. Gross!
Time for a New Bottle. A patient brought in his old, sticky bottle of Phenergan with codeine and wanted the refill in the same bottle.
“Fill Everything.” A patient wanted to “fill everything,” but when we went through her prescription list, she actually only wanted to fill half of it.
Cluelessness. Patient: “Why will it take 30 minutes? All you have to do is throw some pills in a bottle. It’s not rocket science.”
What’s bothering you? Bossy patients, abandoned prescriptions, drive-thrus? Pharmacy Times wants to know. Send your pet peeves to PetPeeves@pharmacytimes.com. We’ll add them to our ongoing published list. Share your Pet Peeves with Pharmacy Times today!
