Brandon Newman, PharmD, CSP, Program Director, Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy, talks about why pharmacists should pursue continuing education to benefit their patients.

Transcript: “I think that it benefits patients because it ensures that the health care providers really have the best and most up to date knowledge on medications that are available in the space, and what we’ve seen in specialty pharmacy is so many new drugs are in the market, drugs that are new classes that have never really existed before, and I think it’s important to have the most up to date knowledge, and continuing education is the best way to get that.”
