
Fourth Annual Women Pharmacist Day Continues to Spotlight Women in the Field
Soliman is ecstatic to celebrate the 4th annual #WomenPharmacistDay and that the pharmacy landscape is continuing to recognize the contributions of women in the field.
In 2018, #WomenPharmacistDay was officially created by Pharmacist Moms Group leader Suzanne Soliman, PharmD, BCMAS. Since the inaugural event, female leaders have continued to expand their already significant impact on the pharmacy field, specifically in pursuing leadership roles and climbing to the top in academic opportunities.
Soliman is ecstatic to celebrate the 4th annual #WomenPharmacistDay and that the pharmacy landscape is continuing to recognize the contributions of women in the field.
“It is hard enough to be a pharmacist and woman, but coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic, this year has been a big year worthy of big celebrations for women in pharmacy,” Soliman said in an interview with Pharmacy Times®. “We are immunizing the country and there is so much to be proud of for all women in pharmacy today.”

Additionally, the winners of the 2021 Women Pharmacy Day awards will be announced, which Soliman said will be a bit different than previous years.
“This year we have expanded the awards and will now have 4 winners for Women Pharmacist of the Year: Community, Health-System, Independent, and Non-Traditional,” she said in an interview with Pharmacy Times®. “We are very excited to honor women in all fields of pharmacy.”
