Can You Read These Rxs?
Joan Thompson, PharmD, of Hen House Pharmacy #27 in Kansas City, Kansas, was stumped by this prescription. Although astute readers will agree that the dosage, quantity, and instructions are relatively clear, this prescription is illegible where it counts most—the drug name. Do you know what drug the doctor prescribed?
With twice the handwriting crammed onto a single slip, this double-prescription proved a formidable challenge for staff pharmacist Brandon Eldridge, PharmD, of Super D Drugs #15 in Sikeston, Missouri. Eldridge had to call the physician’s office for clarification. Can you tell what it says?
