Avita Pharmacy Acquires MedExpress Pharmacy

Baton Rouge, Louisiana (August 11, 2014) — Avita Pharmacy announced today the acquisition of MedExpress Pharmacy located in Salisbury, NC. MedExpress and Avita both offer specialty pharmacy services to patients with complex health conditions.

Founded in 1995, MedExpress has served patients in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia with HIV, diabetes, infertility, and primary medical needs with exceptional customer service.

Avita will bring to MedExpress a large portfolio of limited distribution drugs, access to exclusive specialty-pharmacy payer contracts, and several accreditations scheduled for completion by the end of 2014.
