GENERIC COMPANY WINS HDMA AWARD
Greenstone Ltd, the generic subsidiaryof Pfizer Inc, has received theHealthcare Distribution ManagementAssociation's (HDMA) DistributionIndustry Award for Notable Achievements(DIANA) for "Best Overall GenericPharmaceutical Products Manufacturerwith Sales to HealthcareDistributors Over $100 Million." Theaward was presented at the October2006 Annual Leadership ForumAwards Banquet.
The DIANA honors leading health careproduct manufacturers who have developed creative andresults-oriented programs that set the standard for excellencein new product introductions and/or product promotions, aswell as having benefited health care distributors.
The award recognizes manufacturers of pharmaceutical andconsumer products that serve as models for leadership and innovationin the health care marketplace. John M. Gray, HDMA presidentand chief executive officer, said, "DIANA winners should beapplauded for working to meet next-generation patient demandfor safe, efficient, and cost-effective health care."
Greenstone was established in 1993 and became a whollyowned subsidiary of Pfizer in 2003. The company was chosenfor its high levels of customer service, support of distributor promotionalprograms, demonstration of flexibility and creativity tomeet the needs of health care distributors and their customers,and having product line and marketing plan that contribute tosales growth.
