TRAINING RESOURCE AIMS TO FIGHT FRAUD
A new on-line training program will help pharmacy retailers detect and preventfraud, waste, and abuse in government health care programs. "Preventing Fraud,Waste, and Abuse" was developed by the National Association of Chain Drug Stores(NACDS) and LearnSomething Inc.
The course was designed because fraud, waste, and abuse "can be a significantsource of liability for unwary pharmacies and pharmacists arising from unintentional orcareless errors," according to the NACDS.
The program can be tailored to include each individual company's policies and procedures. The resource tool also can be branded to fit within the look and feel of a company'sown training programs, such as applying company logos and customized introductions, explained the association. The NACDS Foundation is offering course demonstrationsand more information at www.nacdsf.learnsomething.com.
