Pharmacy Tour Reaches Communities

McKesson Corp's Health AcrossAmerica: Keeping Pharmacy Care Personal23-city bus tour was a success.The tour's purpose was to raise awarenessof the vital role community pharmacistsplay in the health of Americans.Here are highlights from the tour:
- The tour gathered 68,238 signaturesfor the "Keeping PharmacyCare Personal Petition;" the petitionis to demonstrate to policymakers the need to preserve everyindividual's access to communitypharmacists
- More than 3500 community pharmacistsreceived Pharmacy AdvocacyToolkits to help promotetheir value in their communities
- 830 participants took advantageof the free health screenings
- Nominations from the NationalCommunity Pharmacists Associationand the American PharmacistsAssociation resulted in a total of$23,000 in scholarships beingawarded to 28 pharmacy students
