Chain drugstore leaders urged Congressto adopt a national standard forthe sale of OTC cold drugs. They warnedthat a "patchwork" system of differingstate and local restrictions on the sale ofthese drugs will actually play into thehands of criminals seeking source materialfor illegal methamphetamine.
