Pharmacies Donate Funds for Tsunami Victims
Rite Aid and the CVS/pharmacyCharitable Trust are launching campaignsto help the victims, families,and communities affected by thetsunami disaster in Asia. The Rite AidFoundation is making a $50,000 donationto the American Red Cross InternationalRelief Fund for Tsunami reliefefforts. In addition, customers candonate funds by purchasing $1 disasterrelief certificates at any Rite Aidstore across the United States.
The CVS/pharmacy and CharitableTrust is donating $1 million to theAmerican Red Cross to help with reliefefforts. Furthermore, the trust haspledged to match up to $500,000 indonor contributions nationwide to theAmerican Red Cross InternationalResponse Fund.
