Cinnamon Works Wonders
A recent study found health benefits in using cinnamon. The study showed that when diabetics consumed between 1 g and 3 g of cinnamon daily, their blood glucose, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein, and total cholesterol levels dropped dramatically. Reported in the John Hopkins University newsletter Health After 50, cinnamon extracts seem to boost the efficiency of insulin and to help fat cells recognize and respond to the hormone.
