Joint Pain Is Eased with Supplement
CosaminDS has been proven effective in a laboratory experiment simulating 4 types of stresses commonly affecting joint cartilage. The study, published last spring in Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, demonstrated that stress responses of aged cartilage were dramatically improved with exposure to CosaminDS, compared with young or nonstressed cartilage. The joint supplement may increase the ability of cartilage components to maintain and even improve articular cartilage, the authors concluded.
"This study is significant because up to 70 million Americans may face joint problems in the coming years," said Robert Henderson, PhD, president and chief executive officer of Nutramax Laboratories Inc. "As the population ages, it will become much more prone to problems affecting the structure and function of joints and cartilage."
