Nevada Goes Electronic
Sierra Health Services is partneringwith the Clark County Medical Society toprovide funding for electronic prescribing(e-prescribing) for physicians practicingin Nevada. Allscripts will provide the e-prescribingtechnology for this statewideinitiative.
The organizations are working togetherto promote the use of e-prescribing toenhance quality, reduce potential medicationerrors, and improve satisfactionand convenience.
As part of the initiative, Allscripts providedSierra Health Services with a lowerrate for e-prescribing. Physician membersof the Clark County Medical Societywill be eligible for a 10-year softwarelicense at no charge, and it will fund up to2 years of monthly maintenance services.All other physicians in Nevada areeligible to receive the software at nocharge but will be responsible for a minimalmonthly fee.
