SpartanNash store pharmacies will be hosting free DermaView Screenings in July at select locations to help the community assess their risk for skin damage.
PRESS RELEASE Grand Rapids, MI, July 2, 2015 — SpartanNash store pharmacies will be hosting free DermaView Screenings in July at select locations to help the community assess their risk for skin damage. The DermaView Screening is a skin screening that uses a non-harmful ultra-violet light to determine the sensitivity, dryness, and conditions of an individual’s facial skin. These screenings will be administered by a Registered Nurse. Sun, soaps, and other pollutants can have a negative impact on skin, which could eventually result in skin cancer. This test is completely safe and allows both the health care staff (Registered Nurse) and the patient to personally view the condition of the individual’s facial skin. Each individual will receive a one- page report showing the condition of his or her facial skin and a handout on how to screen for melanoma.
