September is Healthy Aging Month, marking the perfect time for pharmacists to educate older adults about health and well-being.1 By 2060, approximately 25% of the US population will be 65 years or older.2 Healthy People 2030 focuses on healthy aging with goals to improve the quality of life and reduce chronic health conditions for older adults.2 Medication reviews, immunizations, fall prevention, and physical activity all play a critical role in healthy aging. Through medication therapy management (MTM), pharmacists can play an important role in promoting healthy aging strategies for older adults.
