In this video, Isaac Brownell, MD, PhD, of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, discusses means of preventing and detecting skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. Among the issues he discusses are the importance of regular self-examination of the skin and a yearly dermatologic checkup as well as diagnostic tools such as dermoscopy and confocal microscopy.
