In an interview at PDS 2022, Marci Strauss, PharmD, discussed how pharmacists are reacting to the ongoing shift toward performance-based reimbursement models.

Strauss discussed common challenges associated with reimbursement, the shift to a performance-based model, her work on the PDS program tackling performance-based reimbursement, and where she expects to see all of these issues heading in the future. Regardless of where reimbursement models go, Strauss said remaining ahead of the curve is essential for independent pharmacies.
