Pharmacy Hero: Pharmacist Volunteers to Work ICU During COVID-19

Today, we’re celebrating the work of Tony Gerlach, PharmD, a surgical intensive care unit (ICU) pharmacist at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Today, we’re celebrating the work of Tony Gerlach, PharmD, a surgical intensive care unit (ICU) pharmacist at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, Gerlach has volunteered to work in the ICU on patient care rounds so that his colleagues with small children can work remotely from home. Gerlach also worked with the entire ICU staff to solve various therapy-related issues during the pandemic.
