Intradermal Flu Vaccinations Available at Winn-Dixie Pharmacies

Article

Fluzone Intradermal flu vaccinations are now available in Winn-Dixie in-store pharmacies. The Intradermal flu vaccination is administered just below the skin with a microneedle that is 90 percent smaller than regular needles and is approved for patients aged 18 to 64 years.

Patients can contact their neighborhood Winn-Dixie pharmacy to schedule a convenient time to receive the Intradermal flu vaccination at www.winndixie.com/pharmacy. The Intradermal vaccine is available for guests at the discounted rate of $29.99 when purchased using their Winn-Dixie Customer Reward Card.

“We are constantly looking for ways to meet and exceed our guests’ expectations and offering a variety of administrations for the seasonal flu vaccine is just another way for us to properly serve our guests,” said John Fegan, Winn-Dixie’s vice president of pharmacy. “Our guests’ health and wellness is our primary concern, and being at the forefront with new innovations helps us to provide these services to our neighborhoods.”

Winn-Dixie pharmacies still offer a regular flu shot approved for patients aged 3 years and older, and a high-dose flu shot approved and recommended for thosed aged 65 and older on a walk-in basis. Certain age restrictions may apply in some states regarding pharmacist administration of vaccinations. Patients are encouraged to see their neighborhood Winn-Dixie pharmacist for details.

Winn-Dixie offers several benefits and services, including daily free blood pressure checks, fast and easy prescription refills and/or transfers, convenient refills through the Ready Refill program, low-cost health screenings such as cholesterol or diabetes, and female and male wellness screenings.
