Woods said independent pharmacies often struggle to navigate the complexities of purchasing, and are also at a disadvantage compared to large, chain stores. To manage this and improve their purchasing power, Woods said some pharmacies are banding together. He also discussed what this means for patients, and what this could mean for the future of independent pharmacies.
