In this episode of the Tell-Tale Heart podcast, Craig Beavers, PharmD, FACC, FAHA, FCCP, BCCP, BCPS-AQ Cardiology, CACP, sits down with guests Ambarish Pandey, MD, an associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and Nick Miller, PharmD, a compounding pharmacist at PharmacySolutions, to further discuss the results of the POLY-HF trial.

In the trial, which Pandey led with assistance from Miller's compounding pharmacy, a combination pill for heart failure improved heart function, symptoms, and quality of life in adults with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction. Beavers, Pandey, and Miller highlight the pivotal role of pharmacists in counseling and educating patients on the benefits of polypill therapy.
