Mary Reed, DrPH, research scientist at Kaiser Permanente, discussed the changes made to health care practices in light of the COVID-19 pandemic that she would like to see remain in place in the future.

Pharmacy Times interviewed Mary Reed, DrPH, research scientist at Kaiser Permanente, on the subject of her 2021 ADA conference session, "Reimagining Diabetes Care in the Virtual World."

In this discussion, Reed discussed the shift towards telemedicine sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the changes in health care practices she would like to see remain in place. Reed expressed hope that telehealth would remain available not only in the form of video visits, but also by way of telephone visits and asynchronous messaging.
