BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy introduces the "2-Hour Patient Acceptance Guarantee" program for fast turn-around from patient referral to acceptance.
BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy (BioPlus), one of the nation’s leading specialty pharmacies, introduces a new program guaranteeing notification to physician offices in less than 2 hours whether their referred patients are accepted for treatment through our specialty pharmacy. This guarantee lets physicians know if their patients can be admitted pending insurance qualifications or are non-admitted and triaged to another pharmacy.
BioPlus will back this guarantee with a community partnering “Pay It Forward” campaign. For every referral that takes more than 2 hours to process, BioPlus will donate $10 in the name of the physician to a patient foundation of the physician’s choice. Since patients are always the priority at BioPlus, a donation (of $2) will still be made for every referral processed within the 2 hour guarantee.
“Patients who are referred to a specialty pharmacy face complex conditions. It’s a scary time for patients and the last thing they need is to wait days wondering if their specialty (and possibly life-saving) medication can be filled at our pharmacy,” explains Amanda Brown, senior director of admissions for BioPlus. “BioPlus guarantees an answer in 2 hours — which is not only relief for patients, but a real time saver for their physicians who could otherwise be bogged down making repeated calls to specialty pharmacies trying to get essential medications approved.”
