Avella Announces Partnership with Value Drug Company

Avella Specialty Pharmacy has announced that it is now the Specialty Pharmacy Service Provider for Value Drug Company, a wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals and health-related products.

February 3, 2016, Phoenix, AZ: Avella Specialty Pharmacy announced today that it is now the Specialty Pharmacy Service Provider for Value Drug Company, a wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals and health-related products and a member-owned collective of independent community pharmacies. Through this unique partnership, independent pharmacies will be able to fulfill a larger variety of specialty pharmacy prescriptions in their practices, while their patients benefit from the full spectrum of support and clinical expertise offered by Avella’s team.

Avella will manage specialty drug services for Value Drug Company’s member pharmacies. Patients of these pharmacies will receive all of the services offered directly to Avella’s own patients including prior authorization support, clinical onboarding, financial assistance and compliance calls. Avella will also extend its traditional patient engagement resources to Value Drug Company’s pharmacies.

Avella will also fulfill those specialty prescriptions that are not accessible to Value’s member pharmacies or Value’s own specialty pharmacy, Value Specialty Pharmacy. As part of the agreement, Avella and Value Specialty Pharmacy will also collaborate on clinical services to allow for best in class patient care.
